Now before we start make you should know a little bit about the way proxy hunter works. Proxy hunter checks if certain ports are open.( Ports: 3128, 80, 8080 and 1080 are most common). Then it checks if the proxy is usable. Now let's get busy with proxy hunter.

Make sure your settings look exactly like the ones in image 1.

Note: Check the table below for the number of parellel sockets you can use.

Now we have to find a good IP range to scan for proxies. First go here We probably won't need the C class. The big companies and colleges are in the A and B class. Some military and government shit is in the A class to so you might wanna stick to the B class. Now look for a nice IP range.... Found one? good

Now click on "add task" (image2). Choose searching task and click next. Then click on "add". and select "Start&End range". Now fill in the IP range you chose.(image3)(i chose 216.0.0.0 - 216.0.255.255). Click on OK and then on next.
Now click on defined. (image4). Then click on open and open the file "default.ppc". Select them all except for the last 2. then click on use. A little box should popup that reads "must try?", click yes. Now click "finish". If you don't have any proxies at all yet click on "start searching" (Image 5). If you allready have some proxies then read on.
Click on the tab "results". Then click on "add" to add a single proxy. Or on "import" to import a whole list of proxies. Now rightclick on the proxy you want to use for scanning. Now click on the tab "proxyswitch", then click on direct connection and then click on "disable". Now click on "start searching" (Image 5)
